I Guess It’s A Hobby

A bunch of 8 bit lego stuff

A bunch of 8 bit lego stuff

So last year I wanted to build something with the LEGO Digital Designer and actually order it. I have spent a ton of time playing around with the program before but most of the stuff I screwed around and did ended up being $100 bucks or more.

So I did Mario. Only cost 6 or 7 bucks and was cool as hell to get a box that said LEGO on it and had a picture of Mario.

Shortly afterwords I wanted to try a larger 8 bit NES charecter. So using pieces I had already I built the White Mage.

So I was fine. I had got the need to build something double geeky (LEGO and Nintendo) out of my system and I went on with my life.

Until last night.

I had meant to only build one but apparently OCD took over and I cranked out four.

First was the Black Mage from Final Fantasy.

The black and the orange are off a bit from the actual game but bite me.

In the groove I figured golly gee lets do Luigi. Mario looks lonely and it should be easy.

Then sinking deeper into madness I saw Mega Man, oh glorious Mega Man.

Color probably off a bit again and once again bite me.

He was kind of a pain because if you look at the very left part of his arm and the end of the gun there is a column of black bricks that aren’t attached to other black bricks, unlike the Black/White mages that have a solid connected black outline. So I ended up using some bricks that snap in sidewise to get those columns on and to add support to him in other places.

I figured I should do one more since who needs sleep.

Blaster Master was on of those games I remember playing the hell out of so figured it could eat some more of my life several decades later.

It also ate up most of my black bricks so I swear I am done.
